Championship Saturday Roundup
The Ontario Sledge Hockey Association held it’s Second Annual Championships in Oshawa on Saturday March 27. Hosted by the Durham Steelhawks Sledge Hockey Association at Ice Sports Arena in Oshawa, the day consisted of four gold medal championship games for each of the Junior, Intermediate C, B and A divisions. With participants including teams from Ontario and the State of New York, all four games featured highly competitive and entertaining sledge hockey.Mississauga teams took the Junior and Intermediate A divisions with London taking the Intermediate B division and the Hamilton Score winning the Intermediate C division in a shootout.
Special guests in attendance included Jeremy Booker and Graeme Murray of Sledge Team Canada, Todd Sargeant - President of the Ontario Sledge Hockey Association, Cathy Vincelli – Executive Director of ParaSport Ontario, and Phillip McKee – Executive Director of the Ontario Hockey Federation.
